Did I read your entry correctly? How did you runn an 11 second 1/4 mile with only 42 HP? Or is that a typo?

In answer to Tom, electric motors are rated at continuous duty HP and gas engines are rated at peak HP. Of course I modified the motors some to handle the extreme amps and volts We run well over 300,000 watts which is well over 300 HP using HP caculators from drag race sites using actual ET, weight and ratios, etc.

How does one use two controllers per motor? Is there any series/parallel switching?

So I am assuming also the car is very lightweight. Much has been shaved off this vehicle including the heavy motor and tranny/unnecessary stuff/etc?

In answer to Aaron, We have run as many as four controllers using the "brains" from one to operate the others. We now have extremely high powered, advanced 2/3 megawatt controllers such as the "Zillas" which can be programmed to perform series/parralel shifting of two motors. It funtions like an electronic two speed

Weight is important to any engineer, trying to get the best srtength-to-weight ratios; but for a car, the question is one of power-to weight ratio, for fastest take-off. Electrics can have big power, but also big weight comes with more batteries. At certain ratios, this can be an asset, providing extra traction.

In answer to people questioning about weight, actually they are not THAT light. Most electrics run 400-1000lbs of batteries.

where can I get the electric engine that can be up to 1500HP itself so I can buy one for new personal vehicle ? Thank for your help, I am fan of your fan. wait till you see me in new different race, not drag race like yours . it totally different I promise you will love it as much as I love your drag race mon! Just point me to right place to get electric engine that have 1500 and give me advice what to get to go with it and what to watch out for , thank you again.
