This is a small tire car....28x10.0x15 slicks on a 8" rim. It weighs 3550 lbs & has gone 1.31 in 60ft. Oh by the way, due to the small tires, I only launch the car at 3,500rpm, anything higher & it just wont hook up.
**** UPDATE 8/15/07 **** The Super Chevy Show was just held at RT 66 Raceway this past weekend & I'm happy to say that this car was the Runner Up in the B2 class. There were over 100 cars in the class & they allowed 1st rd buy backs.....GREAT WEEKEND !!!!
**** UPDATE 4/20/08 ****
Well I back halved the car over the winter, putting MT 32x14Sx15's on her. The fine tuning of the suspension has begun....a few flat adds has gotten her going straight, made a slight adjustment to the limiters in front to calm her down & went a 1.31 60ft.....only launching at 4K....with any luck those 1.27....60ft's wont be far away. The car has run a 9.43 already & once the sweet spot on the suspension is found I'm sure she will run somewhere around 9.35 or so.

WOW....SUPERBOWL OF DRAG RACING CHAMPION !!!!
Thats right....SUPER BOWL III...NMCA v NMRA was held at Rte 66 July 17-20 & I not only won the NMCA Superchips Open Comp Class, but then got to run off against the winner of the NMRA Steeda Open Comp winner for $500.00 & THE RING.....I'M WEARING THE RING BABY.....This is by far the coolest thing that has ever happened to me in Drag Racing, not to mention the BIGGEST. Words cannot describe the feeling, all I can say is......YEEEEAAAAHHHH !!!!!! |
